WHAT GENRES DO YOU EDIT?

I have been freelance editing since February of 2025. Since then, I have worked with many authors and their books, yet still the question I get the most is this one. While I would like to work on every genre to broaden my horizons, I've found that I need to work on books that align with what I know, and I can't say I know anything about non-fiction or historical novels. So, with that in mind, I edit: fantasy and romance! (Which does include dark romance, rom-coms and dark rom-coms, but please understand that I may turn editing your book down depending on the trigger warnings.)

CAN YOU EDIT MY UNFINISHED BOOK?

Currently, I only work on finished manuscripts. It doesn't have to be perfect, but at LEAST one round of self-editing is preferred before coming to me.

This wholly depends on the length of your manuscript. Please contact me if you have any questions about this.

DO YOU OFFER SAMPLE EDITS?

Yes! I actually encourage a sample edit be done before deciding on moving forward. This way, yourself as the author and myself as the editor can decide whether we would be a good fit!

QUALIFICATIONS

For the past year, I have been constantly learning and studying everything I can about editing on my own—aside from my university degree that I dropped out of because they weren't teaching me what I thought I was going to get—but I realised that the internet and style manuals simply aren't enough. I have been wanting to find somewhere that would help me without plugging my brain with unnecessary knowledge—like my degree—and I finally found somewhere!
